and then, everything changed.

at this very moment, eight years ago, i was gazing with wonder at the tiny gift i held in my arms.

nothing could have prepared me for what i would feel.

overwhelmed.

completely and totally overwhelmed with love, gratitude and humility. 

and now, eight years later, that {not-so-tiny} gift continues to amaze me.

she is compassionate, kind, considerate, generous, talented and smart as a whip.

the universe has grand plans for her, i just know it.

and i am confident she is up to the task.
